After the tragic massacre that occurred earlier this month in Newtown, CT, my friend Ashley knew she wanted to do something to brighten the lives of the survivors and their families.
She came up with the idea to have a nightlight drive and send nightlights to all the little boys and girls whose innocence was stolen from them so quickly, and at such a young age. Ashley writes that she hopes "these night lights to serve as tiny beacons of hope and comfort for those children, families and friends affected by the tragic and devastating events at Sandy Hook Elementary."
When Ashley asked me to create a graphic for the drive, I was more than honored to do so and jumped at the chance. It seems like such a small gesture, but hopefully these little gifts of light and hope will bring a smile to a child's face.
You can read more about the nightlight drive on Ashley's blog.
